Every year, my friend Pernel and I try to organize a holiday party so that all of our high school friends have a chance to reunite. Thankfully, I have other opportunities during the year to connect with many of them, but it's fun when we ALL get together. But the last few years have kind of fizzled and our reunions haven't worked out. Well, on a whim, we decided to have a "playdate" the day after Christmas and invite a few friends over to hang out. 3:00 on a Wednesday afternoon... we didn't expect much. But lo and behold this impromptu invite spurred a gathering of the masses. We had about 13 girls and their 10 respective children all in my tiny apartment. It was amazing. So glad we got this opportunity.
Parker did a great job sharing his new toys. Not an easy request the day after Christmas but he was a champ. Loved seeing Parker, Wyatt, and Thatcher play together.
Austin was a little overwhelmed!
All of us. We may live all over the play now, but I love that we still value the relationships we made during our high school years.
All the kids. Crazy!
How funny--we're giving Erik that very same playmat from Ikea for his birthday. He'd love Parker's new train table too. We have miles of train track, but no table for them. Can't wait to see you guys on Friday!
