Chatter box

It is so exciting when babies start talking. And even more astonishing is that before they are able to talk back to you, that they are comprehending most everything you are saying to them. Austin is a very obedient child, so my directions of, "Go get a diaper... lay down so I can change you... do you want a cracker... trade cars with Parker...", they all get an obedient response. Amazing. Now he loves to babble nonstop, but is also coming into his own with mimicking the words we say. I'm sure I'll forget some but his most common words at 17 months are: mama, dada, papa, cracker, please, cheese, Emma, cow, moo, duck, quack, Parker, book, show, shoe, diaper, help, water, baba (bottle), milk, night night, batman, and go blue. Here's some video...

  1. The "update" pictures are so great. Aussie has learned to say "go blue", what about "hook'm horns". Grandaddy would love that!!
