Bite the bullet

The boys are at a fun stage of playing together and getting along 90% of the time.
And Parker is making progress, going #2 on the potty (after 5 months of being "potty trained"), so he earned his dragon. He was stoked... but apparently this was an isolated incident because he has not done it again since.
In light of all this "progress", we decided to try and put the boys in the same room. We had tried once before and it was terrible and we retreated before we really gave it a full try. But with the mindset that "the novelty will wear off", we decided to give it a go two nights ago. That first night, the boys were playing and laughing and both in Austin's bed for two hours, but eventually they did go to sleep.
The next night, we managed to get Parker into bed after austin was already asleep and it stayed that way... well until Parker started singing... then Austin started crying temporarily. But within 15 minutes they were both peacefully asleep/faking it but quietly laying there. And they slept... all night... until 7:15am! Halleluia! You know when you put off doing something because you know it's going to be rough and then it ends up not being so bad and you wondered why you waited so long. I know I'm probably jinxing myself by writing how well this went, but hey, I have to document the good times:)

  1. We started potty-training Jude last October, right before he turned three. It seriously took him MONTHS before he was consistently going #2 in the toilet. Hang in there, it'll happen. I think we were about 8 months into the potty training before we didn't have to constantly worry about "accidents". Isn't it fun?

  2. Hi! We put the girls together (Clare and Lex) about the same time. Great minds think alike!
