Happy Fourth of July!

We loved having Pete's parents in town over the Fourth of July weekend. We had delicious meals out and also got to visit Charlottesville to spend time with his brother's family.
Friday morning we enjoyed having Pete off of work, so we met the fam at Waffle House. We were first timers and it was very good.

That afternoon the boys went swimming at their hotel.
This was followed by dinner at Cracker Barrel. Parker ordered pancakes but wasn't pleased that the syrup was the real maple kind, not the high fructose corn syrup he is used to.

Saturday morning we went to a local parade. It was very... Quiet. No music blaring, only one marching band.
was mostly political people and the Shriners club guys zipping around in little go carts! The end was the best because this line of thugs in ghetto cars comes rolling down the route. They were blasting rap music and hanging out of their windows. They were the final act in the parade, so they were followed directly by police. How appropriate! It was hilarious. Welcome to norfolk!
We loved seeing baby Madison who is now 5 weeks old and lance who is a bit tanner than Parker...
We had an amazing dinner at a hibachi grill place. Parker loved the entertainment and was impressed by the fiery tricks.
All this fun ended up with some fireworks in the driveway. Pretty fun!
Parker kept a safe distance, which was just fine with me:)
It was so much fun and now we are just waiting for baby to make his appearance!
