The Poway Rodeo

It's been over five years since we've been in town to attend the Poway Rodeo. It takes place at the arena right behind my parents house, so we truly know when the smell of rodeo is in the air! This was Parker's first experience, as well as Pete's, and we all had such a great time.
Our first order of business was to buy a cowboy hat. Good thing it's close to Halloween and kids cowboy hats are easy to come by.
All ready for the rodeo. Cute lil' cowboy. He'd been talking about going to see the horses and bulls and cowboys and cowgirls all day!

George W (I mean Papa) and Parker.
Our little family all decked out. Too bad Austin wasn't up for it... next year!

 Ready to go!

Front row seats to watch all the excitement!
Another fun thing was that some of the cousins got to meet us there.

As soon as the rodeo clown came out, both of the little ones retreated to the backside of our seat on the bleachers. They pretty quickly came around to him though. Parker just kept talking through it, "Clown is nice. He not scary. He so silly. Clown nice."

And then the dancing began. Pardon the blurriness in a few of these, but there was nonstop motion happening from the front row!

And then Parker's friend Lily came over to join in on the dance party!

 Lily, Parker, and Alexey.
Parker loving his positioning in this picture!

 Any bulls yet?

What a fun night. We all had such a fun time. The next day, my dad, mom, Austin and I walked over to see the end when they do the bull riding. And my dad even went back for that night's show. So glad to be home for many more rodeos to come!
