Parker has really developed an interest in furthering his skills and talents lately. I appreciate the deliberate way he goes about improving himself. Soccer, of course, is one of the main things he likes to focus on, but singing has also been something on his radar lately. After being complimented by his preschool teacher a few times for his "beautiful singing voice" (haha), he now has a big head about his abilities! But in all seriousness, he has gotten better lately. When Pete was learning Spanish in Spain, he really tuned into the dialect of the natives and tried to mimic the way they spoke, which is why people are often impressed by his speaking ability. Now Parker is doing the same thing, trying to replicate the way people singing. It's very cute. Here he is in the car singing along to a song in the movie he's watching.

Visit to the Great Grandparents
While in San Diego, we made a trip up to see the Great Grandparents. It was such a nice day. The boys had a great time imagining with Gran and then playing hide and seek with Gran and Grandaddy.
We also loved seeing Grandpa Lieber.
Unfortunately, as soon as we arrived, I noticed Parker's eye was getting pink and swollen. Within an hour of being there, it had turned into full-on pink eye. He was literally fine until we arrived! So I had to find an urgent care, which thankfully had no wait, and he was diagnosed with pink eye and an ear infection. Poor kid. But I'm so thankful we were able to get it treated quickly. Parker brought up, "Aren't you glad we live in a place where there are doctors and medicine for when we are sick?" We really are blessed for that luxury.
I had so much fun seeing all my family on this trip. Seeing my Nebraska cousins that I hadn't seen in about 2 years, was so much fun.
Jeff giving the best Best Man speech ever. Here's a link to the speech on Youtube. It's probably not quite as funny if you don't know our family, but he's a great public speaker.
The little ring bearers.

And Ryan with the other love of his life... Stanley. He looked so dapper in his tie.

More wedding
When I first heard about my brother's wedding, I wasn't telling people I was pregnant. So when they checked with us to see if mid-June would work, I had to politely tell them that wouldn't really work for us. So they kindly moved it back a few weeks. Then came the task of finding a neutral/nude bridesmaid's dress that would blend with the other girls. Thankful, everyone was picking out their own dress, so I wouldn't completely stand out from the crowd. I was very pleased with this dress I found from Asos (thank you Kate Middleton for letting us commoners know where to buy maternity clothes), and while I was still VERY large and looked a little like silly putty, they whole group of us went well together.
My boys LOVE Chloe's dad, who they call Grandpa Robbie.
The day before the wedding, we had the rehearsal. Since Parker was sick, I just drove up with Austin. He loved being an "only child" for the day and loved all the attention.
The bridesmaids and the moms.
The bride and groom and Austin:)
My brothers. Jeff gave the most epic Best Man speech ever. So hilarious! All the girls...Chloe was the most beautiful bride. She is simply stunning inside and out. She is a perfect match for my brother and they make each other so happy. It's a wonderful union!
Oh and Friday was the Bachelor party. Pete and the guys went golfing, to Dave and Busters and then on to a Padres game.
So cute in their matching shirts!
Our little Ring Bearers did a great job. Love how Parker is a natural caretaker of Austin these days.

I'm sure I'll find more pictures, but that's all for now:)

Wild guys
Very soon our family will consist of three sons, but I already feel like I HAVE three boys in my house! Their new thing is to push back furniture to play soccer.
It's hard to argue with them when they are having such a great time. The boys on Memorial Day. I love the Patriotic theme of summer.

Nearing the end
I'm ready to have this baby. I look ready... and I feel ready. Besides the fact that we don't have a name picked out, we are so excited to meet this little guy. I can't wait to see him and snuggle him and dress him. I can't wait to see the boys with him. And I can't wait to be able to see my toes again. I remember after having Parker, how easy it was to walk quickly up the stairs. You don't even realize all the ways your body is impacted when you are pregnant. I'm so thankful to have had three healthy pregnancies, but I'm always soooo glad to feel more like myself again after delivery. It's a rough 9 months.
34 weeks.
35 weeks.I'm continuing my daily workouts. It's not easy, but I find that when I do it (without over-doing it), I have more energy and feel more mobile during the day. When I don't move and stretch in the morning, I have significantly more leg and back pain as the day progresses.
I'm still obsessed with Luigi Italian ice, but finding a package with exclusively lemon flavor is very hard to do. Wo is me. I take iron pills twice a day to improve my anemia, and they make me feel gross, so it's tricky to figure out when the best time to take them is. Can't wait for that part to be over.
I sleep pretty well most nights, and even better now that I put a pillow between my knees. That alignment provides much more consistent sleep. When I do wake up and want to roll over, it's a serious internal debate about whether or not it's worth all the effort.
I feel like my ankles aren't nearly as puffy as past pregnancies, perhaps due in part to the workouts. But my belly is definitely ginormous! I am outgrowing some of my maternity tops, that will no longer cover my entire belly. Embarrassing.
Hopefully they let me on the plane tomorrow:)

The boys on vacation
While Parker has made some great friends in Virginia, he really misses his SD preschool friends. So we went afterschool one day to play on the playground. I love how kids just pick up right where they left off.
We also miss In n Out, so we made sure to get our fix while we're here. Austin was a big fan of the milkshakes. And it is so cute to see the boys with my parent's dog, Emma. They just love her and she's so good with them.
Here's Austin about to board the plane in Virginia.
And we were glad to stop in at the Children's Museum during our visit. What is it with kids and shopping carts? They are a coveted toy at these places.
