I thought it'd be a great idea to do the boys' well-child visits at the same time. Haha. It was a circus. Thankfully Pete was available to join me. They even had to get some immunizations, and while Austin cried, Parker was a champ and didn't shed a tear!
This is basically sums up our visit...
The boys are both healthy and thriving. For a kid that eats all day, he is only in the 13th percentile for height and weight. At least he's proportionate. :) I'm thankful that Parker has progressed in his potty training, and the only thing left to tackle is staying dry through the night/naps. He wakes up SUPER wet every time. Austin has recently shown some interest in using the potty, so we always take him and he goes! Such a different experience. I'm not pushing it with him, but I'm glad he has that awareness.Parker had an ear and eye test. Instead of having him recite letters, he had to name the shapes for his vision test. They first made sure he knew what each shape was... triangle, square, heart, circle... Except during the test he would say "love" for the heart and "oval" for the circle. He's such a sincere, smarty pants!
Parker's favorites: Bathtime and playing with bath toys, Honey Bunches of Oats (eats many bowls each day), chocolate milk, strawberries and cream, playing with planes and cars in a very physical way, pretending he is a superhero or a Ninja Turtle, making up songs and singing at the top of his lungs, playing with Austin, leading discussions in preschool, riding bikes, and going to the park.
Austin's favorites: All food, mimicking Parker's every word, playing with Parker, Mickey Mouse, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show, Papa time, singing and dancing, being reunited with his parents, marching, watching my phone, chocolate milk, cousins, saying prayers, his shoes, and looking handsome like Daddy (when he wears collared shirts he says "like Daddy").
We're still working on listening, patience, impulse control, and not eating all day long (that's mostly Austin:)). So glad these boys are mine.
