Pete's B'day

Pete turned 32 on August 5th. We had a family dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings and then had a big dinner with all his JAG friends on Saturday night. We did a little Olympic theme and had a few competitions like a Wheel Barrel race. They were good sports.

We are going to miss Sunday night dinners, where we would host any number of Pete's coworkers. Usually we had at least 10 people. It was so fun. We're thankful for our dining table with two leaves, easy to mass produce recipes, George's chips and queso, Bob's Oreo contribution, and everyone else's contributions. It was a great way for us to feel a part of the military community and feel social even though we were one of the only ones with kids. I will really miss that special time with dear friends. Some of the regulars: George, Bob, Dong, Andrea and Chris, Tommy, Kate, Meredith, Chelsea, Tom, the Harbins, the Branweins,

We got Parker some Navy gear that looks like Pete's. He said, "People are going to think I ran a marathon because that's what Daddy wears when he runs. And people will probably think I'm famous because Daddy knows so many people in the Navy."

And here's a pic of Pete with his "shipmates" at a recent wedding in Pennsylvania. They are still talking about Dahlquist's dance moves! Apparently he was the life of the party!
