Twinners

Parker is more like Pete everyday. They look alike, they talk alike, they are both super competitive, both love soccer, talking sports, and joking around. It's the best. And I have learned so much from Pete lately about communicating with my boy. Pete truly gets Parker and can see where he is coming from in ways that are much harder for me. By watching him interact and speak with Parker, I feel like I am able to communicate with him better too.
The podcast was ranked again for the first time since we got out of the introductory phase on itunes. I didn't know if that would ever happen again since there are so many THOUSANDS of podcasts, so I was pleasantly surprised. THe podcast is going so well and it's been so life-giving to put it together and share these wonderful stories of motherhood. So glad I decided to go outside my comfort zone and start it.

The boys are obsessed with the game Sequence and it's the first game that we all play and really enjoy together. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a kids game.
I have this mirror in JAckson's room that ended up there by accident, and now every time I walk in there, I take the time to notice myself and think how blessed I am. I don't notice my insecurities, I see myself in my dream role, holding the baby I always dreamed of. It's been a great dose of perspective for me. I wrote an essay about this experience, but I'm hoping to get it published. If that doesn't happen soon, I will post it here:)

Mr. Egg Hunt

Parker seriously got jipped on the egg hunts this year. We did a few at home, but Austin really lived it up with an egg hunt at a friends house and then another one at school. He loved it, but it was funny because in true Austin fashion, he wasn't about getting the most eggs. Instead he would get an egg, shake it, examine it, and then slowly move to the next one. He was allowed 12 eggs, and he only wanted to get 8. haha. So Austin.
Jackson was intrigued by the egg hunt fun as well.

Austin and Felicity. They are 5 months apart and he looks like a toddler next to her.
Cute kids hopped up on sugar.
Easter party at preschool So cute. You can't see, but they had whiskers painted on their faces.

Austin and Austin (same age, largely different stature).
Jackson was there too enjoying the party.

 Sweet boys.

I missed Friday

Shoot, I missed posting last Friday. Here are some cute pics from lately.

Jackson loves sitting up and playing with toys. He too has a love of light sabers.

That's all... gotta run... baby's awake.

Friday photo shoot

It's still Friday... I'm here... I lived up to my promise of a Friday post. I did a little photo shoot with my boys outside today. I am seriously lacking in my photography skills, but there are some cute shots. If you aren't a grandparent, this is going to be photo overload with minuscule differences between each pic... but feel free to skim.

The older boys were doing egg hunts in the front yard in between pics. Jackson was intrigued by the eggs.

Pete was trying to get their attention right behind me but it wasn't working so well. Then he turned some music on his phone. That got them going!

Handsome 6 year old. Parker Higgins Dahlquist... 6 years 1 month.

Such good buddies already. Jackson absolutely lights up when Parker is around.

Parker started singing "The Wheels on the Bus" and Jackson lit right up!

My sweet Austin. So tender. I picked him up from school early the other day because he was crying inconsolably and the teacher didn't know why. When I got there and asked him what was wrong he just said, "I missed you!"
So glad these two have each other. Kids two years apart is a lot of work, but it's also the best gift ever when they can play together.

ahhhh.... so very blessed by these three!
